Crawfish Boil Table Liners Revealed to be Actual News Magazine

Quality Journalism in Action
The Creole-Tomato has confirmed that the city’s premier choice for crawfish boil table lining is in fact a monthly tabloid entertainment periodical entitled “Where Y’at?”
“Dozens of business throughout the city have these things stacked outside their doors free for the taking,” said Robichaux.
“I and everyone else assumed that they were just complimentary ad rags to be used for table liners. But when I took a closer look at one the other day, I was surprised to find what appeared to be news stories and editorials.”
As it turns out, Robichaux’s observations were only slightly off the mark.
While the publication does consist mostly of advertisements for various products and services offered throughout the New Orleans metro area, the publisher and editorial staff of “Where Y’at” have also seen fit to include in their magazine a smattering of screeds decrying various city issues and not less than a few advertorials wherein the products and services advertised in the magazine are elaborated upon at length.
“We are thrilled to learn of this heightened awareness regarding our magazine,” said the editors of the “Where Y’at” in a recent statement.
“Although it is slightly disheartening to discover that our annual boost in circulation every summer is not due to increased readership by residents with more leisure time so much as there are just more people using the ‘Where Y’at’ to keep their picnic tables from stinking of crawfish.”

And did you notice that all the bartenders in their recent issue used Skyy Vodka in their favorite recipes, in a section sponsored by none other than Skyy? What a freakin’ coincidence! Whatta rag.
