Nagin V-Day Poster Sales Flop
Landrieu, Babelle, Ensler, and the Honorable Vagina Friendly
“Jazz Fest posters honor great and influential people in the world of jazz and heritage. This year it’s Irma Thomas and Kermit Ruffins.
We here at V-Day were grateful for the Honorable C. Ray Nagin’s comments in preparation for our celebration and awareness campaign that we decided to do the same thing.”
Eve Ensler, author of the Vagina Monologues hand picked Mayor Nagin for the poster once she learned he was, in fact, vagina friendly.
The vagina-friendly mayor’s portrait was taken just after an unrelated photo shoot with New Orleans Chief of Police Warren Riley.
“While the event was a huge success,” said Koenig, “Poster sales were dismal. Maybe we needed someone who is penis friendly too, you know, to balance it out.”
