Sidney Torres Assumes Mantle of Creepy Local Entrepreneur From Al Copeland

Let Love Rule.
There can be only one.
Torres IV-real estate developer, Louisiana native, owner of SDT and its signatute fleet of sleek, black garbage trucks-is rich, famous, and quirky.
Many believe the solid waste impresario is the perfect fit to fill the void left in the collective Orleanian heart by the recent passing of fried chicken giant Alvin C. Copeland.
Longtime associate of rock musician Leonard Kravitz, Torres IV has captivated the local populace with publicity stunts, active media coverage, and effortless entrepreneurial whiz.
Torres IV, a man of the people, does not shy from getting his hands dirty or, for that matter, any available camera.
His persona has been the subject of much speculation, but Torres IV is willing to set the record straight. He is willing to do it again and again. In fact, Torres IV’s press secretary Brisbane LeBouef told The Creole-Tomato as much.
“Any time, any where, any publication, news magazine, blog or whatever is fine with Sidney,” said Lebouef.
“He will certainly grant C-T an interview whenever. Do y’all have his head shot on file? Did you see all the other press clippings on the website?”
The Creole-Tomato beat the streets between Canal and Esplanade to get the local reaction to the enigmatic trash magnate.
“He’s great and all and the French Quarter has never smelled more lemony, but does he have to be so weird?” said one local resident who would only speak on the condition of anonymity.
Another, who refused anonymity, remarked, “Well, with Copeland out of the way, we needed somebody. God rest his soul. I just hope he can put up enough Christmas lights.”
Enough Christmas lights, indeed.
Fans of Torres IV and SDT Waste and Debris Services can purchase embroidered SDT gear at the company’s website.
